This work shirt is crafted from original rope indigo heavy flannel fabric. The material features a robust flannel check, blending dark blue indigo rope-dyed threads typically found in denim with coloured threads dyed using a special reactive dye that naturally fades over time. This fabric merges the characteristics of a denim shirt with those of flannel, allowing it to fade and evolve like denim while maintaining the distinctive hues of flannel. The striking orange fabric draws inspiration from 'joshikimaku', the traditional curtains seen in Kabuki theaters. Additionally, Samurai altered the weave structure to mimic the appearance of sashiko stitching. The black version of the fabric is woven exclusively with black and indigo yarns; although it may initially seem understated, the ombre check pattern will gradually emerge with wear.
